FD CornerShot — Development Preview
I wanted to share an early look at something I’ve been building for Assetto Corsa: FD CornerShot.
It is a mounted suspension and wheel camera system focused on camera angles that feel attached to the car, rather than floating behind it like a normal chase cam.
The goal is to make it easier to capture suspension, wheel, and "action camera" style footage for drifting, cinematics, replays, and Assetto Corsa content.
Current planned features
- FL / FR / RL / RR mounted suspension camera views
- GoPro-style left and right side mount views
- Auto Cycle mode
- Per-car camera profiles
- Per-view saved camera positions
- Adjustable camera position, look direction, FOV, vibration, and suspension follow
- Stationary mounted feel, like the camera is attached to the car
This is NOT meant to replace normal chase camera mods. It is being built specifically for wheel, suspension, and mounted action-camera style shots.
The core system is already working in-game, and I’m continuing to tune the camera behavior, default views, vibration, and profile saving before release.
Would you use something like this for your Assetto Corsa clips?
