Worldwide sim drifting series born in Ukraine
Ukrainian drifting developed very strongly before the war Ukraine. Our athletes regularly won prizes abroad and won even on enemy's territory. Competitions of various categories were held within the country from Pros to Rookies. The national drifting series was rapidly gaining momentum with over 100 participants in the 2021 pre-war season.
One of the key organizations in Ukrainian drifting is Bitlook. Ukrainian drifting was developed by the hands of the specialists of this union. Competitions were held, new athletes were involved and the process of separating the sports discipline "Drifting" from street hooligans was also noticeably developing.
Unfortunately the terrorist state deprived all of us of our favorite things including motorsports. But Bitlook enthusiasts could not completely abandon their favorite business and in the winter of 2023 a series of cyber drifting started - Bitlook Virtual Drift.
Since the competition is held online it was decided not to be limited by borders and to open the competition to the entire globe.
The world accepted the challenge and the series gathered 105 competitors from 28 countries and 6 continents. Britishman Ethan Pitrakou became the 2023 Champion. The second and third places were shared by Ukrainians Artem Chulkov and Mykhailo Mordvinov. The best team became the Ukrainian team 7DRIVE.
After the summer break Bitlook Virtual Drift is back with a new competition season. On January, 6 the Round 1 will start at the Lithuanian track - Nemunas Ring.
