VOSAN Website Update Teaser

Hello VOSAN Community! 

I hope you are all well, it's been an exciting month with tons of really great content being shared by the mod creators of this space. 

Today i wanted to give you all a little insight into what we have been working on since releasing the current version of the website. 

We have heard the feedback from you and have been working on improvements to existing systems, and bringing in lots of new features that i'm sure you will all appreciate. 

1. Improved Registration and Login systems. We have heard the complaints of our early stage registration& login system. This has been improved greatly and now includes social register/login to make it as simple as possible with just a couple clicks using your Google or other social accounts. 
2. Public User Profiles for all. This means fans can follow your favorite creator to be notified of releases and find all of their creations on their profile in the "Mods" tab. For the mod creators this means you can add a description to tell your audience who you are and what you do, you can add all of your social media accounts that will be displayed on both your profile and on all of your mod post pages, add videos, images and more to your profile to give your audience all they need to see what you have to offer. 
3. Private Messaging System. has been added. This allows you all to easily speak to each other to work on collaboration projects as mod creators, or so you can speak to the mod creators directly if you have any questions or requests for them. 
4. Improvements to page designs across the entire site. Improvements especially made to the mod post layout, improving the comment section, main mod information, the way images and videos are displayed and loaded. 
5. Notification System. With user profiles and the option to follow your favorite creator, this means you'll now get notified about your favorite creators mod releases and more with the new Notification System. Notifications also inform you about Event News if you follow your favorite Event Profile & get notified about Comments if someone replies to your comment on a mod or news post. 
6. Report System. has been implemented to make it easier to report mods that break any rules. Such as copyirght, stolen content, private/paid content removal. Report system also allows for reporting comments, or any bugs/issues found on the website, inappropriate or broken advertisements and more. 
7. Mod Store & Serve! You can now choose to upload your mods directly to the VOSAN Cloud Storage, allowing your audience to download your mods directly on the VOSAN website without being redirected to websites that might be using decieving tactics on them. This is an optional choice, and can be coupled with an external download link as a backup option. Both VOSAN & External download buttons will be displayed on your mod post. 
8. Ad Placement Improvements. We are constantly working to improve and optimize our advertising options, our top priority is to be user friendly, not take up too much space, not to display any deceptive ads to generate false clicks, and only display relevant ads that  you want to see. Along with this in this website update we have made the advertising space more clear, with ads being displayed inside a container that states the text : "Advertisements" We do this to make it as clear as possible to distinguish between the VOSAN site and the Advertisement placements. Side note: Generating revenue is extremely important for us, to run a website is not cheap or free, and to continue to put our time into developing new features which tends to generate more expenses that we must cover and maintaining the site means we need to earn to continue to serve this community. The more we earn the more we can serve YOU the people of the community. Advertisements are currently our primary source of revenue and we are working on new services that can generate revenue to help lower the need for advertisements, please understand this as we continue to build this sites features and community. 
9. Host Server Migration. This is something that you won't really see although you might feel the change. This change means the site will be faster and there will be less downtime. (Note because of this during the update the site will be down for some hours) 
10. Verification System. We added a verification system to allow certain users that we deem to be "trusted and respected" to bypass the approval system, verified users posts will be auto approved, you can easily identify a verified user by the verification badge on their profile. All current VOSAN Community Partners will be verified, and we will announce the requirements with the website release. 

This is just a few of the more important changes that you'll see implemented in this coming website update. You'll also notice a lot of smaller life improvements around the site, such as adjustments to the form systems, upload systems, image gallery management, application on boarding systems, small design changes to buttons and colour scheme to make it just feel like a better experience whilst browsing and using the site. 

During this update we will have a few hours of downtime where the site will be completely inaccessable by anyone as we migrate all of our files to a new host server. This is a change that has been needed since we updated the website last. Moving our files to a new host server means that we will have more uptime, less downtime and the site will load even faster. I've been incredibly eager to release this update to you all, and i really hope you will like it and enjoy all of the new features we've been working on behind the scenes. 

We aim to release this update early January 2024 so get your downloads in ahead of time before we are down for a short time.
